Who is this man's Father?Samuel Dawkins was born abt 1763/4 I believe somewhere in Essex. He lived most of his adult life in Lambourne and Stapleford Abbots. He married twice, both times in London. I originally found a baptism for a Samuel Dawkins in White Roding Essex date Jan 1764. However DNA Testing between my Dawkins family and the White Roding Dawkins families have disproved this connection. Effectively he remains a man of mystery. There were two Dawkins families in Stapleford Abbots at the time Samuel lived there and I've not connected the two.
DuttonThe earleist member of my family is this unknown Dutton man. He is in the village of Snitterfield in Warwickshire where he had two children. His first child William was born abt 1635 and his second son John born abt. 1640. I have not been able to trace his origins. There were a number of Dutton families in suroounding villages and in Stratford upon Avon. The Dutton family remained in Snitterfield for some two hundred years.
